Handwritten, this archival item documents the diaries of Khalil Sakakini from Saturday 6 to Saturday 13 November 1943, where he mentioned that he, his sister Melia and Metri, his cousin, visited Yakoub, as his condition was bad and he had been bedridden for a while. Then Sakakini wrote at the bottom of the page, beginning his diary, dated from Saturday, 13 November until Saturday, 20 November 1943. On Sunday, 14 November 1943, he mentioned that he had read in "Palestine" newspaper that Ali Mansour al-Masry had chosen to live in Palestine after the Great War, had joined several wretches, and offered Sakakini a piece of his poetry.
