Diaries of Khalil Sakakini, 27 and 28 September 1940

Handwritten, this archival item documents the diaries of Khalil Sakakini on Friday, 27 September 1940, which he began by pointing out visiting the cemetery and spreading flowers with his sister Milia and his daughters Dumia and Hala, and reminiscing about the same days the previous year, when he was standing next to Sultana on her death bed, praying to Allah to spare him the severe pain of losing Sultana. On the same page, Sakakini wrote the beginning of his diary on Saturday, 28 September 1940 by pointing out going with his sister Milia and his daughters Dumia and Hala to Sultana’s grave, where they spread flowers.
