Diaries of Khalil Sakakini, 3 October 1940
Handwritten, this archival item documents the first page of the diaries of Khalil Sakakini on Thursday, 3 October 1940, which he considered the first memorial for the passing of his wife Sultana Abdo, as he isolated himself in his office crying over her departure, reading his book "In Your Memory" and his previous diaries, then he summarizes the history of their past year as it was very rough and full of sorrow and sickness, which prompted Sakakini to study medicine in-depth, mainly benign and malignant tumours.
