Completion of the Diary of Khalil Sakakini, 22 December 1940
Handwritten, this archival item documents the completion of the diaries of Khalil Sakakini on Sunday, 22 December 1940, where he mentioned the attendance of Ameen Rihani's memorial service and the ones who gave speeches including Qadri Tuqan, Mohammad al-Adnani, Mr Miller and Fouad al-Bustani. On the same page, Sakakini wrote his diary on Monday, 23 December 1940, mentioning visiting the cemetery and spreading flowers with his sister Milia and his daughter Dumia and Hala, he also mentioned going to Ahmad Effendi Khalifa's office asking to write him a letter to Samir ar-Rifai, the director of the Public Education Administration in East of Jordan and asking him why he didn't buy "al-Jadeed" this year as usual, then he mentioned receiving the new about the death of his friend Qustaki Saya in Beirut.
