Diaries of Khalil Sakakini, 18-19 May 1941

Handwritten, this archival item documents the diaries of Khalil Sakakini on Sunday 18 May 1940, which he began by pointing out visiting the cemetery and spreading flowers with his sister Milia and his daughters Dumia and Hala, remembering death, trying to distract himself with reading, writing and socializing, weighting himself 8 days ago where he was 82 Kilograms, whereas in that day he weighted 84 kilograms, the visit of Adel Jaber with his wife and daughter, Issa al-Taba, Fakhri al-Jowharieh and Stilo Awad.  On the same page, Sakakini wrote the beginning of his diary on Monday 19 May 1940, which he began by pointing out visiting the cemetery and spreading flowers with his sister Milia, and the visit of Basil with Najla, her mother, his cousin Meeda al-Haj from Haifa, and Stilo Awad with his wife.
