The Continuation of the Diaries of Khalil Sakakini, 3-23 November 1946
Handwritten, this archival item documents the continuation of the diaries of Khalil Sakakini from Sunday 3 to Wednesday 13 November 1946, where he mentions that he and his sister, Milia, went to greet Hajj Amin al-Husseini at noon on Tuesday, 5 November 1946, and Sakakini was very pleased to meet him, as he began visiting him daily after this meeting. On Wednesday, 6 November 1946, al-Husseini invited Sakakini for lunch, accompanied by Achil al-Siqali once and Mansour Fahmy another, there, he met with Munif al-Husseini, Mohammad al-Afifi, Sheikh Hassan abu as-Souod and Safwat Younis.
