The Continuation of the Diaries of Khalil Sakakini, 20 March 1948
Handwritten, this archival item documents the continuation of the diaries of Khalil Sakakini on Saturday 20 March 1948 where he mentioned that many of the Katamon neighbourhood residents departed due to the war, he also mentioned that Fakhri Juharieh wanted to leave to Beit Jala taking his furniture with him, however, the guards stopped him from doing so, therefore, he felt angry and said "Now, we are under the mercy of farmers!" and was sent two militants to imprison him by Abu Atta; the Mukhtar of Rafat and sent another two for Dawoud Talil and fought them back, therefore, was hit by their rifle.
