A Photograph of the Southern Central Gate of al-Aqsa Mosque and Borhan ed-Din Rostrum in Jerusalem, by Yousef Albina, the 1920s -30s
Taken by Yousef Albina between the 1920s and the 1930s, this photograph shows the Borhan ed-Din Rostrum and the Southern Central Gate of the al-Aqsa Mosque. It is worth mentioning that the Southern Central Gate is in the southern half of the Dome of the Rock's yard, built in the Umayyad era and renewed several times in the Abbasid, Fatimid and Ottoman era, while Borhan ed-Din Rostrum was built in the Ayyubid era in place of the wooden rostrum put by Salahuddin al-Ayyoubi by the Chief Justice Borhan ed-Din Bin Jama'a.
