Diaries of Khalil Sakakini, 8 August 1940
Handwritten, this archival item documents the diaries of Khalil Sakakini dated Thursday, 8 August 1940, where he began by pointing out visiting the cemetery and spreading flowers with his sister Milia and his daughters Dumia and Hala, expressing his thoughts on people's insistence on life, intermarriage and procreation, in light of the fact that the fate of the dear ones in the hearts is a stinking carcass, calling for the truth of life to be visited by hospitals, the visit of Abdullah Ammar, Saud al-Barghuthy, Ahmad Khalifah, Elyas Haddad, George Khamis, Fakhry al-Jawharieh, Jalil Abdu with his wife, and Mr Davy with his wife, and pointing out what he wrote in his diary dated the same day of the previous year.
