Handwritten, this archival item documents the diaries of Khalil Sakakini on Saturday, 11 May 1940, mentioning visiting the cemetery and scattering flowers with his sister Milia, the visits of Daoud Abdo's mother, Despina, Praxia Abdo, Adel Jaber and Ahmad Effendi Khalifa with his wife, then mentioning that his goal from an-Nahda School is that its education to be proper which is based on enlarging the hearts of students, and releasing freedom, not restricting it, despite that, not a day passes by without hearing some grumbling among the students, therefore, mentioning determining to put an end to all of that.
