Diaries of Khalil Sakakini, 11 July 1940
Handwritten, this archival item documents the diaries of Khalil Sakakini on Thursday 11 July 1940, where he mentioned going with his sister Milia to the cemetery and spreading flowers, while leaving the cemetery, an Australian prisoner asked him for a cigarette, so Sakakini gave him some of what he had, stopping by the office of Yousef Abdo, visiting the Latin Monastery press to find that they delivered Yousef 300 copies of "al-Jadeed al-Awwal (The New I)". After which, he recalled his diary on the same day of the previous year.
