A Letter from Hisham Halawani to His Wife, Waela, 1984
Handwritten, this letter is from Hisham Halawani at Nafha Prison to his wife Waela and son Helmi at Sowaneh Neighbourhood in Jerusalem on 21 October 1984, where he expressed his happiness at the visit of his son Helmi to him, expressed his admiration for the maturity of Helmy, congratulated him on the occasion of his tenth birthday on 10 October, Halawani was unable to send congratulations on the birthday due to the existence of a hunger strike, and he also sent greetings from his cellmate, Abed abu Khalaf, and at the end of the letter, he stressed the importance of attending school and expressed his pride in his son.
