A Letter from Hisham Halawani to His Wife, Waela, 11 November 1976
Handwritten, this letter is from Hisham Halawani at Kfar Yuna Prison to his wife Waela and son Helmi at Sowaneh Neighbourhood in Jerusalem on 11 November 1976, where he expressed his longing to his wife, asked to take care of his father and son Helmi, wrote a quote from the poetry of Mahmoud Darwish "O my prideful wound, my home is not a suitcase and I am not travelling". This letter was one of the first letters he wrote at the beginning of his arrest. It is mentioned that Halawani was arrested after being accused of manufacturing explosives, was sentenced to 75 years but was released after his tenth year in a prisoner exchange deal.
