Dervish Party on the Occasion of Anwar Nusseibeh's Return from Hajj
Taken in 1984, this photograph shows a celebration at Sari Nusseibeh's house at Aqbet al-Bukhari in the Old City of Jerusalem, held on the occasion of the arrival of his father Anwar Zaki Nusseibeh from Hajj, where he hired a Dervish troupe, where Nusseibeh, the father, sitting on the right of the picture next to the first to wear the Agal and the white Hatta, wearing his glasses and looking down, and his friend, Taher Darwish, is shown leaning on a tall thing and holding his hands under the white frame, Sari Nusseibeh is shown standing to the left of the photo, wearing a white blouse and a leather jacket over it, and two children on his right, his uncle Muhammad is shown sitting, wearing glasses, and two people in front of him are wearing Agal and a white Hatta.
