Handwritten in Arabic and found in the archive of Sari Nusseibeh, originally for his father Anwar Nusseibhe, this archival item documents the protest of Surda's citizens which resulted from the transfer decision of Majid Abed el-Aziz Saleh who is the imam and preacher of Surda's mosque to Jenin based on a decree number 298/5894/ Ġ M on 22 September 1983 describing it as an unjust and unfair action and disables the religious rituals of the town and if the transfer decision continues it shall cause a massive disorder; whereas this decision violates article 30 of 142 of al-Awqaf's resolutions, and it was signed by the town's Mukhtar and the town's men of God.
