A Letter From Anwar Nusseibeh to Talʿat al-Ghusain on the Admission of Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad's Son to a School in Jerusalem, 14 September 1959

Printed in Arabic, this archival item documents a letter from Anwar Nusseibeh to Talʿat al-Ghusain on 14 September 1959; whereas Nusseibeh refers to al-Ghusain’s previously sent letter on 7 September 1959 about an appropriate boarding school for his friend’s son, the Kuwaiti Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad.In this letter, Nusseibeh confirms that the student’s name wasn’t included nor his educational level, then, he mentions that Jordan has so many government-based schools which provides a decent education, however, it doesn’t include boarding departments, while the private ones are divided into local schools and international schools such as the Ramallah Friends School, al-Mutran and College des Freres in Jerusalem, as for the local ones, you have al-Ibrahimieh in Jerusalem, al-Ummah in Bethlehem and Jerusalem, al-Watanieh in Ramallah, the College of Birzeit in the town of Birzeit in Ramallah, and An-Najah College in Nablus, where they all contain a boarding department and to conclude, he stresses on the confirmation of his friend wither to send his son or not so that he can arrange wider research on the topic.
