Contract of Tenancy between Abdulfattah Ibraik and the Heirs of Diya Ibraik, Nablus, 1968

Printed in 1968, this document shows a contract of tenancy between tenant Abdulfattah Salim Ibraik and lessor the heirs of Diya Ibraik from Nablus. The contract; bearing the witness of Izzat Diya Ibraik and Amin abu Saleh, details the conditions of tenancy including the payment of four Jordanian dinars to be paid in cash for a full year starting from 1 Muharram 1378 and ending on 30 Dhul-Hijjah 1378; corresponding to 18 July 1958 and ending on 7 July 1959. Other conditions include that at the end of the lease term, the tenant is obliged to hand over the key to the landlord, and if he is late, he shall pay for each day a double rent until the premise is vacated and handed over back to the landlord- the tenant is not entitled to change the premise without the written permission of the landlord and is not allowed to lease the leased premise to another without obtaining the permission and consent of the landlord in writing.
