Contract of Tenancy between Rashid Ibraik and Abdulfattah Ibraik, Nablus, 1971

Printed in 1971, this document shows a contract of tenancy between Rashid Ibraik and brothers and Abdulfattah Salim Ibraik and brothers from Nablus. The contract details the conditions of tenancy including the payment of four Jordanian dinars to be paid in cash for a full year starting from 1 Muharram 1391 and ending on 30 Dhul-Hijjah; corresponding to 27 February 1971 and ending on 16 February 1972. Other conditions include that at the end of the lease term, the tenant is obliged to hand over the key to the landlord, and if he is late, he shall pay for each day a double rent until the premise is vacated and handed over back to the landlord- the tenant is not entitled to change the premise without the written permission of the landlord and is not allowed to lease the leased premise to another without obtaining the permission and consent of the landlord in writing.
