A Letter from the Director of the Islamic Committee to the Occupation's Prime Minister, 28 April 1982

Dated 28 April 1982, this letter is from the Director of the Islamic Committee, Saad al-Alami, to the Prime Minister of the Israeli Occupation commenting on the so-called head of the "League Jewish Defence" holding a press conference on 24 April, where he declared that his movement will direct its activities towards removing the buildings erected in al-Aqsa Mosque, while on the 27th of the same month, around 100 of this group came raising extremist slogans, roaming the streets of Jerusalem and reaching the entrances of al-Haram under the eyes and ears of the security forces. Al-Alami then comments that allowing such a conference to take place affects the feelings of Muslims and makes the Occupation's government responsible for any attach or harm that comes to al-Haram ash-Sharif, which is the reason behind this letter, in addition, there are copies of this letter that are sent to the sonulates of foreign countries in Jerusalem.
