Nayef Salim's Poetry Notebook, 1947
Handwritten in Arabic by Nayef Salim in 1947, this 42-page document shows a poetry notebook, the cover of which bears the stamp of the Ministry of Education of the Government of Palestine, his name (Nayef Saleh Salim), name of school (al-Rama), his grade (sixth grade), and the subject (Palestine Geography). The first pages feature information about Palestine including borders, cities, population, terrain, and corpses. It also contains poems by other poets including the "For Antara bin Shadad (Antara Son of Shaddad)", "Nakbat Falastin (The Nakba of Palestine)", and "al-Malhama al-Kubra (the Grand Epic)" poems.
