An Issue of the Palestine Newspaper, 26 August 1951
In its issue dated 26 August 1951, Palestine Newspaper is a daily, political, news and illustrated newspaper founded in 1911 by Issa Dawood al-Issa, while its owner was Raja Issa al-Issa, and its director was Dawood Bandali al-Issa. Its front page included that the Military Court Prosecution, which was convened to look into the assassination of King Abdullah bin al-Hussein, requests the death penalty for the defendants Abdullah at-Tal, al-Ayoubi, Dr Musa al-Husseini, Abd Akka and Zakaria Okkeh. It also included a narration of the pleadings of Yahya Hammouda, lawyer of Dr Musa al-Husseini, and Issa Akl, the lawyer of Abed and Zakaria Okkeh, and Nasri Nasr, the lawyer Abdel-Qader Farahat, nicknamed Al-Sdamir. On its second page, the newspaper presented an announcement issued by Birzeit Colleges (for males and females) stating that a fifth secondary class would be added.
