An Issue of the Palestine Newspaper, 12 July 1953

In its issue dated 12 July 1953, Palestine Newspaper is a daily, political, news and illustrated newspaper founded in 1911 by Issa Dawood al-Issa, while its owner was Raja Issa al-Issa, and its director was Dawood Bandali al-Issa. Its front page included that Syria elected Shishakli as its president with the majority of votes. At the local level, the newspaper documented the Jews’ aggression against the village of Fukin, Bethlehem district, which resulted in the death of an Arab youth. In Jerusalem, the Minister of Social Affairs agreed to form a union for municipal workers to be the first government union authorized to work in the Kingdom.
