Issue 4817 of ad-Defa Newspaper, 2 January 1952
In its issue number 4817 dated 2 January 1952, ad-Defa Newspaper is a daily, political, news and illustrated newspaper founded in 1934 by Ibrahim Shanti in Jaffa, Sami Surouji from Hama and Khayr al-Din al-Zirikli from Beirut, while Shanti had the privilege and the title of editor-in-chief, and since 1949, the Newspaper was issued in Jerusalem. Its front page included that the freedom fighters started the new year with a series of attacks on British forces in the Suez Canal area.
