Issues 9 and 10 of al-Jadeed Magazine, September and October 1982

The ninth and tenth issues of the al-Jadeed magazine, a monthly magazine for progressive national thought and culture established in 1951, were issued in September and October of 1983 under the supervision of its first editor Hanna Naqqara and its editor-in-chief Emile Touma and printed at the Union Cooperative Press in Haifa. The two issues included the following: 1.    Al-Jadeed’s opinion. 2.    An article titled “Where has the National Liberation Movement Reached in the Arab World”.  3.    An article titled “The Tangible Concept of Women Liberation” by A. Dawood.  4.    An article titled “Stories in the Dust of the Battle” by Salman Natour. 5.    An article titled “Supporters of Arabs in Israel” by Emile Touma.  6.    A story titled “The Newspaper Seller” by Ibrahim Daqqaq.  7.    A story titled “Between Me and the King of the World is a Badly Typed Paper” by Marzouq Halabi.  8.    An article titled “Authority and its Reflections in Saudi Literature”. 9.    A Saudi story titled “The Death of a Muezzin”. 10.    A Jordanian story titled “About and For Abla” by Imad Qasoos.  11.    An article titled “A Review of the Collection of Afif Salem” by Shaker Farid Hasan. 12.    Various poems by Lorca, Shawqi Baghdadi and Nayef Saleem.
