Issue 11 of al-Jadeed Magazine, November 1981
The eleventh issue of the al-Jadeed magazine, a monthly magazine for progressive national thought and culture established in 1951, was issued in November of 1983 under the supervision of its first editor Hanna Naqqara and its editor-in-chief Emile Touma and printed at the Union Cooperative Press in Haifa. The two issues included the following: 1. Al-Jadeed opinion titled “Between the Books Fire and the Closing of Universities.” 2. An article titled "Palestine in the Ottoman Era" by Emile Touma. 3. A critical article titled "A Review of the Izz ed-Din Manasra Collection" by Imad Qusous. 4. A critical article titled "A Review of the Jamal Bannoura Collection" by Nabih al-Qasim. 5. The corner of reporting news, events and activities happening around the world. 6. The sixth episode of Salman Natour's corner, "We Didn't Forget". 7. A story titled "Huda (a story from the occupied West Bank)" by Youssef Taher al-Obaidi. 8. A Bulgarian story "The Lamb" by Stoyan Waskalov. 9. An interview published by the al-Hadaf magazine with the Moroccan writer Abdel-Latif al-Laabi. 10. An article by Emile Touma and Antoine Shalhat about the local culture. 11. An article titled "Umm al-Fahm, the Home of the Indians in the Eyes of Zionist Literature for Children" by Mahmoud Hussein Hadari. 12. An article titled "Crime in Israel" by Maha Khoury. 13. News and announcements of newly released books. 14. Published poems by Widad Barghouti, Nazih Khair and Suleiman Daghash.
