Issue 12 of al-Jadeed Magazine, December 1979
The second issue of the al-Jadeed Magazine, a monthly magazine for progressive national thought and culture founded in 1951 and printed in the Union Cooperative Press in Haifa, was issued in December 1979 under the supervision of its first editor, Hanna Naqqara. The issue included the following: 1. Al-Jadeed opinion titled “It’s All Acting”. 2. A poem titled “Ana Ahya” (I Live) by Radi Dakheel Shehadeh. 3. The corner “Cultural tourism” by Antoine Shalhat. 4. A poem titled “Mawten ash-Shuhada” (The Home of Shaheeds) by Hayel Asaqleh. 5. A story titled “Why did al-Abdoosh as-Sagheer Write the Day the Mountain Burned”. 6. The poem “Resala Ela Sadeeq” (A Letter to a Friend” by Jabra Hannouneh. 7. An article titled "A Pause with the Collection of the Poet Nayef Salim, The North Wind" by Nour Amer. 8. A story titled "The Idol That Shattered" by Jamal Bannoura. 9. An article titled "International Law and Elon Moreh" by Tawfiq as-Solh. 10. An article titled "Those Looking for the Sun" by Fakhri Saleh. 11. A poem titled "Qasaed Men Daftar Ghazal Qadeem” (Poems from an Antique Romance Notebook" by Habib Mukhles. 12. An article titled "A Vacation with Mahmoud Darwish, the Poet who Entered the Dialectic of the Relationship between the Revolution of Poetry and the Poetics of the Revolution" by Hussein Marwa. 13. A poem titled "New Entrances to a Homeland Looking for an Entrance" by Abdelnasser Saleh. 14. Al-Jadeed annual index for the year 1979 includes the most important articles published in each issue. 15. Various cultural news.
