Issue 6 of al-Jadeed Magazine, June 1977

The sixth issue of the al-Jadid magazine, a monthly magazine for progressive national thought and culture, was founded in 1951 and printed in the Union Cooperative Press in Haifa, issued in June 1977 under the supervision of its first editor, Hanna Naqqara, and its editor-in-chief, Antoine Shalhat. The issue included the following: 1. Al-Jadeed opinion titled "What Is to Be Done?" 2. A critical article titled “The Book of the Zionist Challenge in the Curricula of Arab Education in Israel” by Ibn al-Khattaf. 3. An article titled "I Salute You All - Marx" by Riad Masarwa. 4. A story from Syria titled "A Small Sun" by Zakaria Tamer. 5. A poem titled "Onshodat as-Sayroorah” (The Song of Becoming) by Fadwa Touqan. 6. An article titled "The Third Stage in the Development of the Labor Movement in Palestine" by Mousa al-Budairi. 7. An article titled "How to Make Laws Relating to Women in the Soviet Union" by Vera Tolkunova. 8. Essay "Raising Fears" by Hans Sturm. 9. An article titled "Irony and Bitterness in Rashid Hussein's Poetry" by Farouk Mawasi. 10. A poem titled "Zenji” (Negro) by Fahim abu Rukn. 11. An article titled "The Great Impact of the October Socialist Revolution in the Struggle Against Zionism" by Emile Touma. 12. A poem titled "Khetab Ala Madakhel Bairut as-Sabaa” (A Speech on the Seven Entrances to Beirut) by Nazih Khair. 13. A poem titled "Khadija Towalado Bayna Rasasi al-Mawt” (Khadija to be Born Among the Bullets of Death) by Mefleh Tabooni. 14.
