Issue 10 of al-Jadeed Magazine, November 1958
The tenth issue of the al-Jadeed magazine, a monthly magazine for progressive national thought and culture established in 1951, was issued in November 1958 under the supervision of its first editor Hanna Naqqara and printed in the Union Cooperative Press in Haifa. The issue included the following: 1. The talk of the month titled “With the Cultural Communist Army”. 2. An article titled “Al-Maarri’s Opinion on Women” by Jabra Nikola. 3. An article about the Arab Ba’ath Conference by Emile Touma. 4. An article titled “A Poet Speaking to Poets” by Mayakovsky. 5. A poem titled “Alam Wa-Hob” (Pain and Love) by Habib Qahwaji. 6. An article titled “How Did the Youth Marry” by Abdel-Aziz al-Bushri. 7. A poem titled “Kharaeb Romaneyyah” (Roman Ruins) by Issa Loubani. 8. An article titled “Dhu'l Nun Ayyoub” by Adib al-Qas. 9. A story titled “Abderrahman Efendi” by Mohammad Khas. 10. “Lights and Shades”, an article by Hanna abu Hanna. 11. An article titled “Let Poetry be Proud” by Nowar.
