Issue 6 of al-Jadeed Magazine, April 1955
The sixth issue of the al-Jadeed magazine, a monthly magazine for progressive national thought and culture established in 1951, was issued in April 1955 under the supervision of its first editor Hanna Naqqara and printed in the Union Cooperative Press in Haifa. The issue included the following: 1. The opening of the issue, titled "Greetings to the Friendship Festival". 2. Poetry titled "Harb al-Istemar" (The Colonial War) by Ibrahim Abdel-Majid. 3. An article titled "Brothers of Safa" by Emile Touma. 4. An article titled "Tolstoy and His Age" by Lenin. 5. A poem titled "Dema Fi Ghazza" (Blood in Gaza) by Haya Qadmon. 6. A story titled "The Teacher Abd al-Rahim" by the son of the village. 7. A poem titled "Nasheed al-Mahrajan" (The Festival's Anthem) by Hanna abu Hanna. 8. An article titled "Pine Basket" by K. Yustovsky. 9. A poem titled "Shareed" (Runner). 10. An article titled "The Story of a Conference and a League" by Muhammad Ibrahim. 11. An article titled "Teachers' Elections" by Nimr Murkus. 12. An article titled "Friends of Progressive Arabic Literature in (Tel Aviv)". 13. An article titled "The Conference of Poets in Nazareth." 14. A poem titled "The Good Land" by Abdel-Wahhab al-Bayyati. 15. An article titled "A New Scientific Method". 16. Various scientific, literary and cultural news.
