Issued on 16 June 1929, this document shows issue no. 226 of the Official Palestine Newspaper featuring official government announcements including the commencement of the settlement of lands in the al-Jamasin tribe, the separation of lands in the village of al-Khairiya, the new customs at the railway station in Jaffa, the registration of companies and cooperative societies, and the transfer of the Customs and Trade Department to Haifa, statements of the movement of immigrants to Palestine and the displaced from it, the exports and imports of income, the sale of unclaimed merchandise, Cortina, and distinguished merchandise, in addition to official government announcements regarding laws and legislation and amendments thereto. The issue was printed in Azriel Press in Jerusalem, where the price of the copy was fifty mils and was published twice a month. Said official government announcements and amendments include: Appointment of the Colonial Minister. The Farmers Protection Bill of 1929. Interpretative Bill of 1929. Implementation of Road Transport Law No. 33 of 1929. Implementation of the amended Stamps Law No. 24 of 1929. Appointment of a member of the financial committee of the Orthodox Patriarchate. Appointment of consuls. An order banning the import of some chemicals under the Customs Law of 1929. An order to renew the term of the Finance Committee under the Law of the Orthodox Patriarchate of 1928. An order regarding the as-Saqr and al-Ghazaweyya tribes under the Penal Code. A system under the Land Settlement Act. A draft system under the Antiquities Export Law. Declaration under the Animal Diseases Act. Announcement under the Pensions Act.
