Issued on 16 March 1931, this document shows issue no. 279 of the Official Palestine Newspaper featuring official government announcements including Suspending the tables of rights in some villages, announcing the initiation of land settlement in some villages, reviewing the 1931 estimation in the Northern District, revealing the names of lawyers who paid lawyers’ fees, ordering the Director of Customs to appoint licensed customs agents, lists of unclaimed goods, quarantine and communicable diseases, in addition to official government announcements regarding laws and legislation and amendments thereto. The issue was printed in Azriel Press in Jerusalem, where the price of the copy was fifty mils and was published twice a month. Said official government announcements and amendments include: Appointment of a vice-consul in the United States. Published under the Extradition Act 1926-1927 between Great Britain and El Salvador to Palestine. Orders under the Urban Property Tax Law appoint a review committee and an appellate review committee in Gaza. Orders under the Land Settlement Law, including minimum plots in some villages, specifically in the municipality of Hebron and Ramallah. The ordinance under the Local Councils Act - specifically the Local al-Bireh Council area. Order under the Pensions (Service in the Ottoman Government) Law of 1925. Regulation under the Hunting Protection Act of 1924 - Appointment of forest wardens. A law under the Ports Act - regarding berth fees. Regulations and declarations under the Animal Diseases Law, which are: Banning the entry of domestic birds from Egypt, and declaring ad-Dhahiriya an endemic area. Announcement regarding preventing the entry of "al-Nida newspaper" into Palestine.
