Ottoman Notice of Payment of Property Tax to Elias Touma, 1914
Issued by the property tax from the tax book in the Sanjak (District) of Jerusalem, this Ottoman notification to pay a property tax is in the name of Elias Touma from the town of Beit Jala, Jerusalem District, to pay the property tax for the year 1332 AH, corresponding to 1914 AD, where the required tax amounted to 10 piasters and 15 Turkish para, which is equivalent to 9 piasters and 15 Egyptian mils, and the notice contained the signature and stamp of the collector.
