Issue No. 290 of the Official Palestine Newspaper, 1 September 1931
Issued on 1 September 1931, this document shows issue no. 290 of the Official Palestine Newspaper featuring official government announcements including suspension of the tables of rights in the village of Bir Salem, the villages free from diseases, the secondary school examination and the Palestinian secondary school certificate, and revealing the names of the officers and police soldiers who were authorized to conduct the investigation under the Code of Criminal Procedure (regarding testimony) for the year 1928 and others. It also included quarantine statements, communicable diseases and the sale of unclaimed goods. In addition to official government announcements regarding laws and legislation and amendments thereto. The issue was printed in Azriel Press in Jerusalem, where the price of the copy was fifty mils and was published twice a month. Said official government announcements and amendments include: King George VI Order on Palestinian Nationality Amended 1931. Letter of the Minister for the Colonies to the High Commissioner of Palestine regarding the preliminary measures to be taken regarding the plan for urbanization, agricultural improvement and colonization of land in Palestine following the political plan of the Government of King George VI. Amended Tobacco Bill of 1931. Appointing a secretary to the Central Bidding Committee and appointing an investigator for suspected deaths. The Code of Criminal Procedure (regarding testimony) for the year 1927. Orders under the Land Settlement Law included an order for minimum land areas in the village of Qatra, and additional powers to assist the settlement warden. An order under the Local Councils Law amending the order issued to form a local council in the colony of Rehovot. An order under the Town Planning Law on the approval of the project organizing the Tiberias region. An order under the Companies Law regarding the application of the provisions of the law to the Abdul Razzaq Hawari Company. A system under the Animal Diseases Act on the addition of the Animal Quarantine System of 1931, and the declaration of certain areas as endemic according to the same law. Banning the International Press Correspondence magazine from entering Palestine. Tariff of freight transport by Palestine Railways.
