Adel Tartir from "Al-Qoba'a wan-Nabi" Play, Jerusalem, 1990
Taken in 1990 at the Palestinian National Theatre- el-Hakawati in Jerusalem, this photograph shows Adel Tartir performing the "Al-Qoba'a wan-Nabi (The Hat and the Prophet)" play with "the thing". This play is the second monodrama by the "the Wonder Box" troupe, which Tartir executed after the "Ras Roos (Head of Heads)" play. This play, however, is derived from the same-title novel by Ghassan Kanafani and is special for having a philosophic dimension, where Tartir performed it by himself, making the process more complicated.
