Interview with Nuzha an-Najjar, Protecting Cultural Heritage of Palestinians in Masafer Yatta Project, 7 August 2019
This video documents the interview Ahmad Jundeyyeh conducted with Nuzha Jibreen Khalil an-Najjar at Maghayer al-Abeed Area as part of the Protecting Cultural Heritage of Palestinians in Masafer Yatta Project, where an-Najjar mentioned old customs in her area including the usage of hand mills and kerosene lamps in making food, the period of time it takes to mill wheat and lentils and how when some families need rainfed agriculture or have special occasions such as weddings, they go to Yatta on camels for some days. It is worth mentioning that the Project was executed by the Centre for Trust Peace and Social Relations at Coventry University in Britain in cooperation with the Palestinian Museum and Dar al-Kalima University.
