The Diaries of Fandi Mhanna, Buqei'a- Upper Galilee, 1952-1953
This 125-page document shows the diaries of Fandi Mhanna from Buqei'a- Upper Galilee for 1952-1953 inside an agenda, where he wrote about his daily life, several poetry verses and the Hijri calendar. Mhanna mentioned his relationship with his family in this agenda, pointing out how he spent his days at Buqei'a including participating in different social events like how he and the Sheikhs of neighbouring villages solved issues in the area and held meetings to discuss some social matters, as well as going to Prophet Sabalan's Tomb, which people flock to practice their religious rites and visiting al-Khadr Tomb in Kafr Yasif. He also talked about his direct connection to the land, as he constantly weeded it out, planted it and took care of it, and wrote down some financial accounts including his debt, the olive harvest product, his market's accounts and his accounts with his partners at the olive press. He pointed out his role in the department of supplies, where he received aid and distributed it to those who deserved it.
