The Diaries of Fandi Mhanna, Buqei'a- Upper Galilee, 1967-1968

This 129-page document shows the diaries of Fandi Mhanna from Buqei'a- Upper Galilee for 1967-1968, where he indicates how social life was at that time, in addition to describing the weather and a Hijri calendar.  In this agenda, Mhanna addressed his relationship with his family, particularly his son Hussien who is a teacher. He also pointed out his time spent in Buqei'a which included participating in solving tribal disputes in the area with the Sheikhs from neighbouring villages. He also spoke about participating in many social events and having mutual visits with numerous sects during the holidays, including his visit to the Tombs of Prophet Sabalan and Prophet al-Yafouri, where people gather to practise religious rituals.  Additionally, Mhanna mentioned his visit to Tulkarem, Nablus, Ramallah, Jerusalem, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and al-Aqsa Mosque. He also mentioned his direct involvement with the land, as he always weeded, planted and took care of the land. In addition to mentioning the olive picking season and pressing it via the oil presser. He also recorded some of his financial accounts including his debt, taxes, grocery store accounts and olive crop production.
