Debt and Safe-Keeps Registration Book for Mohammad Younis, the Village of Jinba, 1940-1972
This document shows a book for debts and safe-keeps by Mohammad Younis Mahmoud Makhamreh from the village of Jinba near Masafer Yatta from 1940 to 1972, which is one of Mahmoud Makhamra's three shop books that were inherited by his grandson Mohammad Younis. The debts and trusts of people in the Masafer Yatta area were recorded in it. The shop used to provide customers with supplies, fabrics, cigarettes, grain, wheat, and other needs of the residents of the Masafer area. The shop remained in the village until 1966 when the Israeli Occupation Forces demolished it in its first attack on the Masafer area, before the Naksa and the occupation of the West Bank, after which Mohammad Younis moved to work as a street vendor in the region until the early 1970s.
