A Coloured Cement Tile and the Mold Used to Manufacture It, "Islamic Carpet", 1890s

A coloured cement tile known by its design's name "The Islamic Carpet." The copper mold used to cast it was created in Damascus in the 1890s. The Aslan family used this mold at their factory in Nablus, which remains in use to this day.
