The Tapes of Qoranic readings of Shaheed Ahmad Dahlan Displayed at the - '100 Shaheeds - 100 Lives' Exhibition, Feb 2001

This photograph shows Tapes of Qoranic readings that belonging to Shaheed Ahmad Dahlan from Khan Younis. who was murdered On November 13, 2000, two days after being shot in the head while attempting to rescue wounded individuals from a car bombed by Israeli occupation army forces. These items were displayed at the "100 Shaheeds - 100 Lives" exhibition held at the Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center in Ramallah On February 20, 2001. which is taken by Isabel de la Cruz.the idea of the exhibition emerged weeks after the eruption of the Second Intifada (Al-Aqsa Intifada) as a tribute to all those murdered in the struggle. However, as the number of Shaheeds was exponentially increasing, the exhibition was limited to honoring the first 100 Shaheeds representing all areas of Historic Palestine.
