The Birdcage of Shaheed Mahmoud Is'eid Displayed at the '100 Shaheeds - 100 Lives' Exhibition, Feb 2001

This photograph shows the Birdcage that belonging to Shaheed Mahmoud Is'eid, born in Hizma near Jerusalem. Is'eid who was murdered On November 3, 2000 .This item was displayed at the "100 Shaheeds - 100 Lives" exhibition held at the Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center in Ramallah On February 20, 2001.which is taken by photographer Isabel de la Cruz, the idea of the exhibition emerged weeks after the eruption of the Second Intifada (Al-Aqsa Intifada) as a tribute to all those murdered in the struggle. However, as the number of Shaheeds was exponentially increasing, the exhibition was limited to honoring the first 100 Shaheeds representing all areas of Historic Palestine.
