This photograph shows a part of the Abaya of Shaheed Abdelaziz Abu Sneineh from Hebron. On October 23rd, 2000, while the family was sitting in the kitchen, he went to answer the telephone in the living room. At that moment, as his neighborhood was being shelled, a live bullet penetrated his head, and he murdered. The rest of his family unscathed. This item was displayed at the "100 Shaheeds - 100 Lives" exhibition held at the Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center in Ramallah on February 20, 2001.which is taken by photographer Isabel de la Cruz, the idea of the exhibition emerged weeks after the eruption of the Second Intifada (Al-Aqsa Intifada) as a tribute to all those murdered in the struggle. However, as the number of Shaheeds was exponentially increasing, the exhibition was limited to honoring the first 100 Shaheeds representing all areas of Historic Palestine.
