Taken in 1981, this photograph shows the moment Bassam Shakaa arrived in a wheelchair at the Nablus municipality after his travel to Amman for medical treatment in the wake of the Israeli Occupation Authorities' attempt to assassinate him, leading to the amputation of his legs on 2 June 1980.
