Taken in 1981, this photograph shows members of the Society of Inash Al Usra congratulating Bassam Shakaa on his safe return from his trip to Amman for treatment in the wake of the Israeli Occupation Authorities' attempt to assassinate him, leading to the amputation of his legs on 2 June 1980. From among the members identified are Rima Tarazi, who is at the forefront of the photograph; and Samiha Khalil, second from the right in the last row.
