Bassam Shakaa Resuming Work at Nablus Municipality after Trip to Amman for Treatment, 1981
Taken in 1981, this photograph shows Bassam Shakaa, in his wheelchair, resuming his work as the mayor of Nablus Municipality on the next day of his return home from his first trip to Amman for treatment, in the wake of the Israel Occupation Authorities' attempt to assassinate him, leading to the amputation of his legs on 2 June 1980.
