Film "Stories Told", 2023
Titled "Stories Told," this documentary features short interviews with several men and women from Gaza, who share important customs and traditions passed down from their ancestors. Among these are traditional foods, harvest seasons, wedding celebrations, baking bread on the taboon, wool-making, carpentry and fishing. Some also recount scenes of life in their villages from which they were forcibly displaced, such as al-Jiyya, Burayr, Simsim, and Kawfakha. The video was produced by Basma Society for Culture and Arts in Gaza in 2023 as part of the " Stories Told Not to Forget " project, funded by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development and supervised by Taawon (Welfare Association).
