"Engravings of Jenin & Bethlehem" Documentary, Engraved in Stone Project (2023)
This documentary film explores the most significant stone engravings in the cities of Bethlehem and Arraba. It begins by showcasing the important Mamluk and Ottoman engravings in Bethlehem, focusing on those found in Murad Castle, Shahwan Palace, and the Star Street engravings. The video then explores the engravings of Arraba and their date of creation, particularly those found on palaces of the Abd al-Hadi family, specifically the inscriptions on the palace of Abd al-Qadir Yusuf Abd al-Hadi. The video is produced in 2023 by the Tamer Institute for Community Education as part of the project "Engraved in Stone: Living Palestine’s Memory" funded by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, and supervised by Taawon (Welfare Association).
