Taken in 1980, this photograph shows Bassam Shakaa and his wife, Enaya al-Fassed, with a prosthetist at Stanmore Hospital in London. It was taken subsequently after Shakaa had prosthetic legs, in the wake of the Israeli Occupation Authorities' attempt to assassinate him, leading to the amputation of his legs on 2 June 1980.
