A Part of Bassam Shakaa's Visit to France, 1980
Taken in 1980, this photograph shows a part of the visit of Bassam Shakaa to France at the invitation the French President Giscard d'Estaing, following the Israeli Occupation Authorities' attempt to assassinate Shakaa in the same year. Shakaa is shown at the Hôtel de Crillon in Paris, with his wife, Enaya al-Fassed, and a group of Arab ambassadors to Paris.
