A Part of Bassam Shakaa and His Family's Visit to France, 1980
Taken in 1980, this photograph shows a part of the visit of Bassam Shakaa and his family to France at the invitation of the French President Giscard d'Estaing, following the Israeli Occupation Authorities' attempt to assassinate Shakaa in the same year. Shakaa's wife, Enaya al-Fassed, is shown at the Hôtel de Crillon in Paris, holding up her fingers in the V sign.
